Our Story

Dune Associates LLC was born during a sunrise walk on Dune Road in Westhampton Beach. What started as a casual conversation between founder Daniella Maggio (a lifelong New Jersey beach native) and a manufacturing business owner revealed a glaring gap in the market.

He was struggling with the exact challenge Daniella managed daily for a Fortune 500 company: navigating complex emissions calculations and regulatory compliance. He needed simple, honest sustainability services from someone who actually understood a shop floor. Two weeks later, Dune Associates was founded to provide exactly that.

Daniella Maggio has been obsessed with the mechanics of business since selling 5-cent gum wrapper puppets in elementary school. Whether it was working at her family’s ice cream shop at 13 or playing college soccer at Monmouth University, her desire to learn and work hard was instilled in her well before she entered the corporate world.

After earning her MBA, Daniella bypassed a desk job for a manufacturing floor. She spent the first years of her career in the trenches of a Fortune 500 manufacturing facility, putting on PPE to troubleshoot production lines, learning the importance of inventory management and global logistics. From her experience within operations, she understands exactly where data comes from and how to difficult it is to manage.

While she was working across the plant absorbing as much knowledge as she could, her plant manager volun-told her to be the sustainability lead onsite. Her natural curiosity eventually led her to a corporate position within sustainability to manage the environmental footprint for over 200 global facilities, overseeing an annual emissions portfolio well over 8,000,000 metric tons of CO2e. Her approach is strictly business-first, focusing on ROI, lean processes, and operational common sense. Daniella founded Dune Associates to provide straightforward, cost-effective emissions management that bridges the gap between complex global regulations and the practical reality of the shop floor.
